كرنفال الريو :الالاف الراقصين بالريش والبريق في الشوارع رقص وسياسة

 انطلق في ريو دي جانيرو الكرنفال السنوي، الذي يستمر أربعة أيام. وتبلغ العروض ذروتها الأحد والإثنين أمام نحو 70 الف متفرج

يمثل كرنفال الريو مناسبة للاحتفال والرقص، غير أن الحس النقدي لا يغيب عن هذا الحدث اذ ان البرازيليين لا يتوانون عن التطرق خلاله الى الازمة التي تعصف ببلدهم.

غاب رئيس بلدية ريو القس الإنجيلي المحافظ مارسيلو كريفيلا عن الإفتتاح وخلف تغيبه الذي يعتقد بأنه عائد إلى موقف الكنيسة الإنجيلية من الكرنفال، ردود فعل سلبية.

وهذا الكرنفال الأول منذ الاطاحة بالرئيسة اليسارية ديلمار روسيف . وقد احتشد المئات في وسط المدينة للمشاركة في احتجاج للمطالبة بتنحي الرئيس ميشال تامر.

مهرجان الريو احتفال وإستعراض شعبي، يجمع بين السيرك والإحتفالات الشعبيّة التي تجوب الشوارع، وعادًة ما تكون هذه الاستعراضات في موسم الكرنفال.

وتعتبر الكرنفالات تقليد كاثوليكي، ثم دخلت على الإحتفالات الأرثوذكسية، لكن الكنائس البروتستانتية، وخصوصًا المتشددة منها، كانت ترفض القيام بهذه الإستعراضات، علمًا أن عدد من الدول البروتستانتية اللوثرية والإنجليكانية تقيم طقوس وإحتفالات الكرنفال. فقدت بعد فترة الكرنفالات هذا المعنى الديني، واتخذت شكلا علمانيًا لتنتشر في أرجاء العالم الغربي.

موسم الكرنفالات، يبدأ عادة مع العطلة التي تسبق الصيام الكبير، في المسيحية. لا أحد يعلم بالضبط المصدر الأساسي للكلمة، لكن المرجح أنها أتت من الكلمة (الإيطالية: carne) أو كارنوفالي carnovale، والتي أتت من (اللاتينية: carnem)، والتي تعني (اللحم)، وليفاري levare، والتي تعني (المخفف)، وحرفيًا تعني (الأبتعاد عن اللحوم). قيل أيضًا أنها نشأت من المعنى اللاتيني كاروس نافيلس carrus navalis، والتي أتت من اليونانية، وهي عربة كانت تحمل الإلهأبولو، ليطوف بها بين الناس.

تبدأ الاحتفالات في الثالث من سيبتواغيسيما، وهو الأحد الأخير الذي يسبق أربعاء الرماد، لكنه في بعض الأماكن يبدأ قبل ذلك التاريخ بإثنى عشر ليلة، ويستمر حتى الليلة التي تسبق الصوم الكبير. وضعت هذه الفترة للإستمتاع بكل المنتجات الحيوانية كالزبدة، والبيض، التي يبدأ الصيام عنها. تنتهي هذه الإحتفالات في يوم ماردي جرا، والتي تعني (الثلاثاء الدسم)، قبل اليوم الذي يسبق أربعاء الرماد، بعدها تبدأ فترة الصيام التي تستمر 40 يومًا، وفي بعض الأحيان تستمر حتى يومي الأحد والسبت من الصيام الكبير

Thousands of dancers from Rio de Janeiros elite samba schools rolled out their traditional parades of feathers and sequins as the main business of the giant annual Carnival got under way last night. In total, 14 samba schools from the elite so-called special group will be taking part in the parades last night and on Monday evening at the packed purpose-built stadium known as the Sambodrome, to compete for the prestigious Carnival title. Each school, featuring up to 4,000 shimmering dancers, elaborate giant floats and deafening percussion, will take 75 minutes to parade down the 700 yards long Sambodrome track.

The Carnival formally kicked off Friday with the traditional symbolic passing of a key to the city to the festivals King - unleashing giant street parties known as blocos in Rio, Sao Paulo and across Brazil. 

Authorities expect seven million people - including one and a half million Brazilian and foreign tourists - to participate in this years edition of the gigantic outdoor party.
